Pierrick Piette is a part-time Associate Professor at the Cnam and a member of the Poem team within the Lirsa laboratory.
A graduate of ENSAE Paris, he defended his doctoral thesis on the applications of statistical learning in actuarial science in 2019 at Claude Bernard University Lyon 1, where he subsequently served as a lecturer at ISFA. He has also taught at ENSEA in Abidjan and IIA in Yaoundé.
As a certified member of the French Institute of Actuaries, he served as Head of Actuarial at an Insurtech company for five years. He is currently an independent actuary, assisting insurance stakeholders in quantifying and managing their risks. He was honored with the Young Researcher Award at the 31st International Congress of Actuaries in 2018 and the Bob Alting von Geusau Prize from the International Actuarial Association in 2022.
