Maria-Beatriz Salgado defended her doctoral thesis at the University of Paris Est Créteil in 2000, where she was an assistant professor until August 2001. She defended her HDR in 2012 and held a position as senior lecturer at the CNAM from September 2007 to August 2022. She has been a university professor at the same institution since September 2022.
