Professional career of Laurence Morgana
Laurence Morgana is an Associate Professor in Management Sciences at Cnam-Intec, within the Accounting-Control-Audit research team and the LIRSA laboratory. She holds a PhD from the IAE of the University of Poitiers (2005) and is a certified professional coach (2023). Her work combines academic research with operational expertise.
Her research focuses on public management, accounting standard-setting, intellectual capital, and the history of management control. She specializes in the longitudinal analysis of institutional discourses and examines the transformations of performance representations and management control systems in public organizations, particularly in La Poste, museums, and public media organizations.
Between 2019 and 2025, she was seconded to the French Ministry of the Economy and Finance as an expert at the Public Sector Accounting Standards Council, where she contributed to the development of public sector accounting and sustainability reporting standards.
Involved in the academic community, she notably served as a reviewer for the French National Council of Universities (CNU), as Vice-President of AIRMAP (International Research Association on Public Management), and as a member of the LIRSA executive board. At Cnam, she held national responsibility for the Advanced Financial Accounting course, coordinating large-scale teaching activities in initial, continuing, and distance education.
