Thierry Sauvage holds a Master's degree from Paris-Dauphine and a Research Master's degree in Transport from ENPC. He defended his doctoral thesis and the Habilitation to Supervise Research in Management Sciences at the Centre de Recherche sur les Transports et la Logistique (CRETLOG) of Aix-Marseille University. After a passage in the INRETS/IFSTTAR on the research programs on the goods in City, then in the CRETLOG and in Audencia Nantes, he is today Professor and Director in the GIP CEI ESLI Redon Bretagne Sud which is a public establishment of higher education and applied research based in Brittany and in Cachan, winner of several Program of the Investments of Avenir (1 PIA2, 2 PIA3). Thierry Sauvage has defended and supervised doctoral theses in the field of Purchasing and Supply Chain. He is administrator of the Cluster Bretagne Supply Chain and member of the Committees of Directions Bretagne and Pays de la Loire of the National Council of Purchases.
