Professional career of Sylvain Mondon
Sylvain Mondon defended his thesis in management science and management at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in 2020. He previously obtained an engineering degree from the École nationale de la météorologie and worked at Météo-France as a forecaster for safety at sea. He was in charge of the climate change mission at the Ministry in charge of the environment. As a civil engineer (ingénieur des ponts des eaux et forêts), he is currently deputy director of the French High Council for the Climate. He is also an associate researcher at Cnam and a member of Lirsa. His research focuses on decision-making practices in extreme contexts, the relationship between anticipation practices and multiple temporalities, the transformation of organizations, and climate transition practices.
