Didier Maillard is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale d'Administration. He began his career as an economist in the forecasting department of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, where he was deputy director, and at the OECD. He was then director of economic and financial studies at Paribas Bank, co-head of Paribas Asset Management and developed risk advisory activities at Paribas Capital Markets. He joined the Cnam in 2001 as a professor, holding the Chair of Banking. He created and directed a DESS (post-graduate diploma), which became a Master's degree in international asset management, and developed training activities for a major banking group.
