Cécile Chabas-Laquièze has a doctorate in law. She defended her doctoral thesis at the University of Paris 1 - Panthéon Sorbonne in 2001. She has been a lecturer in private law and criminal sciences since 2002, first at the University of Angers, then at the CNAM within the national teaching team 14 "Law and real estate". She was a lecturer at the University of Paris-Dauphine. She is an expert for the HCERES and president of the CAPA jury at the EFB in Paris. Her research interests are in the fields of contract law and the system of obligations.
